In the shop the templates are placed on the selected slabs or piece of natural stone and adjusted to maximize the beauty of the stone. While natural stone is eternal stain and water resistant a special sealant is usually applied in the shop or during the installation to provide an added layer of protection just in case there is an accident spill could cause a stain. Your contractor may also suggest you to periodically sealant as a precaution.
