The Quarries
Specialized geologists are used to locate granite quarries; only certain quarries can be used to remove granite from the earth. Each quarry has individual characteristics that other quarries do not have, so choosing the right quarry is very important. Granite is an igneous rock that is formed by heat found deep within the Earth's crust. Granite typically comes in two varieties, either homogenous & static with very little movement or with sweeping swirling grains with lots of movement.
After a geologist finds the right granite quarry, the first step is to size and cut the granite block from the quarry. Drills are used to penetrate the granite stone and size the granite block. Specialized foam is then used to separate the block from the granite quarry allowing workers to remove the block and deliver the block to the granite factory.Post
Post Delivery
After the granite is delivered to the warehouse, the granite is sliced by the gang saw. Slabs are either ¾ or 1 ½ inch thick, producing 40-60 slabs of granite per block.

Post Production
After the granite block is sliced by the gang saw, the slab is sent to an 18 head granite polisher. The polish machine includes 5 different polisher heads used to manicure one side of the stone. Occasionally, granite stones need to be resonated for commercial or private use.
Resin is then applied to the polished side of the stone, factory workers hand resonate the slab making sure the slab is completely covered by the resin. The slab is then sent back to the polish machine for additional polishing.
Shipping
Once the granite slab is ready to be shipped, the sequenced slabs are bundled into 10-12 piece slab sets. A 20 feet container box is used to ship the sequenced slabs to our distributors to be made available for sale.
