Stone Selection to Countertop Installation Guide

MGM Stone makes getting new countertops or replacing old ones, easier than ever before.  Follow these simple steps to bring beauty and elegance to your home.

1st Step - Prior to visiting our showroom, create a hand sketch with the dimensions of your existing countertop. Bring your hand sketch or new cabinet drawings, into the MGM showroom to select the right material for your new countertops.  It is also helpful to bring a door or drawer from your existing cabinets, or sample of your new cabinet stain color, plus any flooring, paint or other design elements to help visualize how the stone will fit with your design plan.  Our knowledgeable and friendly staff can help you select the material that suits your needs both functionally and aesthetically.  We will provide you with an estimate on the spot, with any material you choose, allowing you to compare the cost of your new countertops installed by MGM Stone, with any of our competitors.  We price your job as a complete package, with no hidden charges, so you can see the bottom line of your new countertops will cost.

2nd Step -If you are using your existing cabinets, or your new cabinets have been installed, it is time to set up an appointment for a free in home estimate.  At this time, we will take measurements of all the areas to be installed and discuss all the details of your job including: backsplash, edge detail, seam placement, sink and appliance cut-outs, and if required, demolition and removal of your old countertops.  Our estimator will provide you with a final cost for your countertop installation, based on the material that you have selected at the MGM Showroom.

3rd Step - Once all the details of your job have been finalized, your contract signed, and your materials purchased, an appointment will be set for our template technicians to come to your home and prepare the templates that will be used to begin the process of fabricating your new countertops.  At this time, your will need your sink, cooktop, and any other appliances on site, so that the technician is able to finalize all of the exact measurements for the cut-outs that will be made at the fabrication shop.  The fabrication process will take approximately 10 days until your countertops will be ready to install.

4th Step - Once the fabrication process is completed and your new countertops are ready to be installed, our skilled installers will deliver your new countertops and usually complete the installation within one day.  Any demolition will be scheduled approximately two days before your countertops are installed, to minimize the time your kitchen is non-functional.  We will install the countertops, along with your sink, and drill any holes required for faucets or other components.  A sealer will be applied to your new countertop at the time of installation.  The countertop must set for approximately 24 hours before the plumbing can be connected and begin being used.
